HOW TO REMOVE "POWERED BY BLOGGER" ATTRIBUTE






The "Powered by blogger" attribute is the gadget that appears in the footer of bloggers template. As we all know that Blogger is free and its widely used for blogging platform and in this case, I provide more tips and tricks for beginners to help them in the blogging life. 

I will give you simple trick on how you can remove “powered by Blogger” widget which is also known as attribute from your Blogger blog. People using Blogger platform will have this widget powered by Blogger attribution below their blog because it's set as default in all blogger template and a lot of blogger users want a to remove this attribute because it doesn't make their blog looks professional. Though this attribute is an official representation for Blogger.

The step by step sideline below will tutor you on how to remove powered by Blogger widget /attribution using new HTML editor.

To remove the powered by Blogger attribution, 
1. Go to Blogger.com 
2. Login to your Blogger profile with your email
3. Select your blog that you want the attribute to be remove. 
4. Now go to template 
5. Click edit HTML 


6. Click on the “jump to widget” option 
7. From the list,  select Attribution1 as highlighted below

 


8. Press ctrl + F in the editor and find this line below 
<b:widget id=’Attribution1′ locked=’true’ title=” type=’Attribution’> 



9. After you see this as highlighted above, replace the locked=’true’ in to locked=’false’ 



10. Finally,  click save template 

After you are through with these steps as mentioned above,  go to layout option, below it,  you should see attribution gadget, then click edit. 

There's gonna be a  popup window,  click remove and then you are done. 



You can click view site and you won’t see the “powered by Blogger” attribution and this also removed the copyright text you might have included before.


Now, To add copyright text, click add a gadget in layout settings and select HTML/JavaScript, here you can add your copyright text and save.  After this, drag and drop it to the footer section where the attribute was before. 
 Now view your site and your new copyright text will display.
