EXTRACTION OF DISCUSSION TAKEN AT THE 2019 JAMB POLICY MEETING





The followings are extract of some of the decisions taken at the 2019 JAMB Policy Meeting held on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at Gbongan, Osun State, Nigeria.

That no institution can consider for admission, any candidate whose UTME score is below the institution’s prescribed minimum UTME score.

That gross charge for post UTME screening should not exceed Two Thousand Naira {N2,000.00} only.

That candidates for Distance Learning, Part Time and other related modes of study shall apply through JAMB for a fee of Three Thousand Five Naira {N3,500.00} only before approaching their preferred institutions for processing their admission with JAMB Registration number.

That all categories of candidates for admission should be processed to JAMB through CAPS.

That Distance Learning, Part-Time and Sandwich candidates shall not sit for UTME. However, sitting for JAMB would not disqualify them.

That Part-Time Distance Learning and Sandwich candidates shall pay to their preferred institutions a processing fee that would be determined by their institutions.

That in case a candidate does not accept or reject admission on CAPS before JAMB’s closure of CAPS for the year, the candidate would not be regarded as admitted and would not be on matriculation list for the year. Such candidates are not expected to be registered by any institution without JAMB’s Admission Letter which cannot be printed without acceptance of admission.

Admitted candidates must present their JAMB original result slips and Admission letters printed from JAMB website for registration.
