Manchester United have shown keen interest in bringing the former Tottenham winger back to England and this news will keep them on red alert.

English Champions Chelsea have also not hidden their admiration for the former PFA player of the year and are expected to battle Manchester United for his signing.

Bale, 28, is currently struggling with a niggling calf injury and is expected to be out for the rest of the year.

The reports also suggested that United could be using David De Gea as a part of the deal to bring Bale to Old Trafford.

Madrid have been a long time admirer of the Spain's number one goalkeeper and could be willing to sell Bale to United to get their target goalkeeper.

Bale has been at Real Madrid for four years and has had quite a successful spell winning the League, two Champions League titles and the Copa del Rey.
